Who Invented the Washing Machines? History Of Washing Machines

Who Invented the Washing Machines? History Of Washing Machines - Unlike previous writings known to the first inventor, the washing machine was not known to who the first inventor was, even though there had been the inventors of the washing machine but there was no information about their patents because the patent office in America was burnt to the point where all patents burning. For more jelaasnya please read the description below.

History of Washing Machines

According to research in 1886 women took water eight to ten times each day from water pump machines, wells, or springs. The washing process is so exhausting and time-consuming, begins by soaking the clothes and then brushing them one by one, after which the clothes will be rinsed with new water, and the most exhausting stage is when squeezing clothes by hand and then drying them in the hot sun.
The first electric washing machine The first electric washing machine

Washing by machine
The technology of the clothes was developed by several stages, which began with the invention of wooden machine but did not last long because of many obstacles, then made a machine made of metal in order to fire the fire from under the machine so it can warm the water during the washing process takes place.

At first the washing machine was a board created in 1797. In the mid-1850s commercial steam washing machines were discovered and sold in England and the United States. The development of washing machine technology in the US is more emphasis on the development of machines for washing at home, although machines for commercial laundry services are widely used in the 20th century and early 19th century. The rotary washing machine was patented by Hamilton Smith in 1858. Because electricity was not commonly available at least until 1930 then some washing machines could only spin at low speeds using gasoline.

Initial generation of washing machines are dangerous
The washing machine that was invented before the birth of a modern electric washing machine is very inconvenient and dangerous, because in the first generation washing machines there are open parts on the machine that can cause injury to the wearer as there is a roll that serves to wring out clothes which, if inadvertently can lead to interest in hair or clothing that is being worn so that it can lead to serious accidents, eventually this washing machine is prohibited to be manufactured and marketed.

The modern process of extorting water in a spinning way does not come until the electric motor is developed. The rotation requires a high-speed source and constant power, initially the extortion process is done in a separate device that is "extractor". The washed clothes will be moved from the sink to the extractor basket, and the water will come out of a separate channel. Various attempts have been made to eliminate unstable vibrations such as the installation of a rotating basket on a floating frame in order to absorb the slightest vibration.

The combined process of
the existing automatic washing machine is a combination of two machines that work relevantly ie washing machine and wrapper / dryer made in one package tool.

Initial development of washing machine
  1. Year 1691 in the UK issued the first patent category of washing machine that can squeeze.
  2. In 1782 Jacob Christian Schaffer of Germany made a washing machine design.
  3. Henry Sidgier issued a British patent for a rotating drum washer.
  4. In 1862 patented a "Rotary washing machine incorporation, with rollers for wringing or mangling" by Richard Lansdale of Pendleton, Manchester.
  5. The first patent in the United States entitled "Clothes Wash" was given to Nathaniel Briggs of New Hampshire in 1797.
  6. In 1836 the patent office burned so there was no explanation about the washing machine device that survived. A device combining a washing machine with a blackmail mechanism did not emerge until 1843, when John E. Turnbull of Saint John, New Brunswick from Canada patented "Clothes Wash With Rolls."
  7. Margaret Colvin invented the Washer Triumph Rotary, which was exhibited at the Women's Pavilion at the Centennial International Exposition of 1876 in Philadelphia.

The electric washing machine advertised in newspapers and discussed in early 1904 by Alva J. Fisher has been incorrectly credited with the invention of electric washing machines. The US Patent Office shows at least one patent issued before Mr. Fisher's US Pat. No. 966,677 (eg. Woodrow US patent number 921.195). The "inventor" of the electric washing machine is still unknown.

The design of washing machines increased during the 1930s. Mechanism of closed machines in the body, and more attention to electrical and mechanical safety. Spin dryers are introduced to replace dangerous power mangle / blackmailers.

In 1940, 60% of the 25,000,000 homes in the United States had electric washing machines. Many of these machines feature the power of blackmailers, despite the unusual built-in spin dryers.

So little story about the washing machine, until now can not be ascertained who the first inventor.
